Warning to Protect Freedom of Speech and Artistic Expression

FIRST WARNING:

May I ask you please to be quiet. The University of Michigan recognizes the right of dissent, but we also recognize the right of speakers to be heard. Under the guidelines approved by the University's Civil Liberties Board, I must ask you to cease and desist this disturbance and allow our speaker to continue.

SECOND WARNING:

For a second time I must ask you to recognize the right of our speaker to be heard. This constitutes a second warning. If you are not immediately quiet, I will ask that you be escorted from the auditorium.

IF THE DISTURBANCE CONTINUES OR RESUMES:

You have not responded to my requests to recognize the speaker's rights. I now ask that you be immediately escorted from the auditorium.
