Led by Director Lee Doyle, and FOIA Coordinator Pat Sellinger, the Freedom of Information Office is available to assist you to find the information you need. As a public institution in the state of Michigan, the University of Michigan is subject to provisions of the state's Freedom of Information Act, and takes very seriously its responsibility to share complete information with members of the public.

MICHIGAN PUBLIC MEDIA
Led by Director Stephen Schram, MPM includes Michigan Radio, a National Public Radio news station broadcasting in Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids and Flint; Michigan Television, a Public Broadcasting System member station broadcasting in Flint; Michigan Productions, a University department offering full-service studio and on-location video production services; plus The Michigan Channel, the University’s cable channel devoted to lifelong learning, seen on Comcast channel 22 in Washtenaw County; and our participation in the Big Ten Network.

NEWS SERVICE
Led by Director Nancy Connell and Senior Associate Director Laura Lessnau, the News Service builds institutional reputation and promotes public awareness through news releases, social media, video and podcasts; the University Record and the Record Update for faculty and staff; and Michigan Today for alumni. Photo Services maintains a database of more than 90,000 university images available for purchase.

Kim Clarke serves as the executive writer and communications counsel for both the Office of the Vice President for Communications and the Office of the President. This work includes executive speeches, remarks, presentations, letters and videotapings that support the president’s vision and goals.
