Robert Winfield, M.D.As you may know, many college campuses across the nation are now experiencing outbreaks of Influenza A (H1N1). We are starting to see a small number of students and others become ill with what appears to be H1N1 influenza and soon more of us will become ill. I want to encourage everyone in the U-M community to get a seasonal flu vaccination now and to get the H1N1 vaccination when it becomes available later this fall. I also want to urge you to wash your hands frequently and to stay home if you get sick with a flu-like illness. Please watch this Web for all of the latest information. You also are welcome to send individual questions to this e-mail address: fluquestions@umich.edu.

Thanks for taking the steps that will keep us all as healthy as possible this flu season.

Robert Winfield, M.D.
